Grealish burgled while playing for CityFamily at home during raidGuardiola sends warning to his playersWHAT HAPPENED?
Grealish was playing for City against Sheffield United when his house was burgled in a £1 million ($1.3m) heist by thieves. Ten members of the midfielder's family, including fiancee Sasha Attwood, were inside at the time of the raid.

The City boss told reporters: "Today you have to be careful, definitely. Not much on social media, the less they know what you are doing the better. People are waiting. Waiting to see where you are. Unfortunately it’s happened with Joao, which was so scary because the family was being attacked. Jewellery, money, whatever – it’s tough – but the family being there is tough to process for Jack as it was with Joao before.
"There is a big difference between the classes. There are people with a lot of money and people struggling. If you have a good middle-class then people don’t do that. Today, worldwide, it happens. The people do these kind of things unfortunately for many years already.
"First of all with what happened with the family inside, it was what it is today in the modern days with many things happening. It was a bad moment for him and his family but fortunately the family was not damaged with the people inside.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Grealish's family were said to be "shaken" after the incident but were unharmed. The England international is not the first footballer to be targeted by burglars, with the raid the latest in a growing list of incidents across Europe. Former Manchester City team-mate Joao Cancelo was attacked and robbed at his home in 2021, while West Ham defender Kurt Zouma, Paris Saint-Germain stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Real Madrid's Brazil international Rodrygo are among those high-profile footballers to be targeted by thieves recently.

Despite the burglary, Grealish is expected to return to action for Manchester City on Saturday when the Premier League champions take on Sheffield United in their final fixture of 2023.
