Paris Saint-Germain started dominating proceedings right from the word go and had a major chance early on, as Marco Asensio attempted a curling finish.
The visitors needed just 16 minutes to take the lead through Kylian Mbappe's strike, as he finished after Randal Kolo Muani's effort was saved. The French star took one touch before finding the back of the net.
PSG then doubled their lead in the 63rd minute when Mbappe's shot took a deflection off Jimmy Halby-Toure's outstretched foot and hit Steve Loic Solvet's arm. The 25-year-old took the spot-kick himself and completed his brace.
Nine minutes later, the France captain received a long ball from Marquinhos and then found Goncalo Ramos on the far post with an inch-perfect cross. The former Benfica man did not make any mistake in heading the ball home.
Orleans made a momentary comeback when captain Nicolas Saint-Ruf scored with a header from Kevin Fortune's corner. Two minutes later, though, Mbappe provided yet another assist as Senny Mayulu scored a fourth for the French giants.

With a brace and two assists, Mbappe was undoubtedly the star of the match for the Ligue 1 champions. He had a stellar outing on the pitch as the US Orleans defenders had a tough time keeping the French superstar at bay.

Les Parisiens' defence did not face too many challenges from the Orleans attackers but captain Marquinhos committed a glaring mistake towards the end of the match from which the hosts scored a goal. Kevin Fortune kept his corner inside the PSG box which the Brazilian defender should have comfortably intercepted in the air. Unfortunately, the veteran player completely missed the flight of the ball, resulting in Saint-Ruf pulling one back for his team.
WHAT COMES NEXT?
Luis Enrique's side will now shift their focus to Ligue 1 where they are currently eight points clear at the top. They will next face Brest on January 29. Meanwhile, the USO will next take on Versailles in a French third-division clash.
